The NSSF Kampala Seven Hills Hash Run slated for this Sunday is continuing to attract a legion of top-class athletes with former women’s 3000m steeplechase world and Commonwealth Games champion Dorcus Inzikuru being the latest to join the growing list.
Her confirmation follows that of Uganda’s only athlete and medalist at the Rio’s Summer Paralympic Games David Emong who will lead a strong team of 10 Paralympians in the run.
On taking part in the run Inzikuru, 35, said: “I am honoured to associate with the NSSF Hash Run. I would like to appeal to the general public to register for the run so we can show our support for this worthy cause.”
Barbra Teddy Arimi, the head of Marketing and Communications, NSSF, said, “The NSSF Kampala Hash 7 Hills Run is a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative through which the Fund is raising funds to renovate the public primary schools under the management of KCCA.
“It’s part of the Fund’s CSR agenda to support education by improving the learning conditions in public schools.”
“We are delighted with Inzikuru’s confirmation and we believe she will be able to attract more of her peers to the run,” Arimi added.

More than 1,000 people are expected to take part. The companies that are already on board include; Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), Uganda Registration Services Bureau, Bank of Uganda, Capital Markets Authority, Housing Finance Bank and Monitor Publications Limited.
Others are Galaxy FM, Umeme Limited, Stanbic Bank, Vision Group, Selas Events Ltd, Fireworks Advertising Uganda Limited, Computer Point, Total Uganda, Vodafone Uganda, Toyota Uganda and ICPAU among others.
