JINJA-Defending champions Betway Kobs are cruising after winning the Jinja leg of the National Sevens Circuit, a week after emerging victorious at Kyadondo.

Drawn in pool A with hosts Jinja Hippos, Rams and Elgon Wolves, Kobs strolled through with ease, conceding just one try in the group stages.

After progressing from the pool unscathed, the quarterfinal had Kobs come up against Walukuba in a game that had the day’s biggest score margin as the men in blue turned on the style with a 57-0 victory.

Warriors were next in Kobs` firing lane when the two met in the semis and tries from James Ijongat, Ramathan Govule and Alhadji Manano helped Kobs book a place in the final with a 22-0 win.

After a long day at work, Buffaloes provided Kobs with the last hurdle in a replay of the Kyadondo final. Just as it was in Kyadondo , Kobs emerged victors with even a bigger score this time around.

12-5 it ended in Kyadondo while in Jinja Kobs won 21-7 with a Michael Amollo super solo effort being the highlight of the final.

Entebbe ladies bounced back from their Kyadondo disappointment to win the Jinja leg and improve their chances of winning the title with four legs to go.
