With a slender 1-0 lead going into the second leg of their Caf Champions League preliminary round tie away to Angola’s Primeiro de Agosto, many would have predicted a safety first approach for Ugandan champions KCCA.

That however has never been Mike Mutebi’s approach. The coach stayed true to his nature by insisting his side will not sit back during Sunday’s return leg at the Estádio 11 de Novembro in Luanda, Angola.

“We are going to play the way we usually play. Have the ball, use it smartly; try to be efficient in the final third. We are not going to go there to defend that is not our style of play,” stated Mutebi after yesterday’s training match in which his side drew goalless with Proline at Namboole.

Mutebi also predicted an open game with the Angolan side needing to win at least by a two goal margin to progress to the next round.

“Agosto will come all out to attack and leave spaces. If we play defensive we’ll not get those chances. So it is going to be an open game and maybe it may end up 5-3, something like that. They are going to attack and we are going to attack,” he stressed.
